Shopping at Crocker Park

Hey there! So here are some pictures from two days ago. I meant to upload these yesterday, but it was just so hectic I didn't have time to blog. But I'm back today, so no worries :). Two days ago I went shopping with my sister, Alyssa, at Crocker Park. It's an outdoor mall (I'm not sure if you know what that is, but it's really hard to describe any other way haha). And we did some damage at Urban Outfitters... I've been super obsessed with that store lately! So I will definitely be showing you what I got within the next few days. Hopefully it will warm up so I can actually wear what I got and not freeze. It has been so cold the past few days! I have been wearing pants and jackets and sweatshirts and cardigans... Like can I have summer back please??? Haha. And I'm sorry I talk about the weather so much on my blog. I'm going to try to stop writing about it so much in the future, just had to get that one complaint in first haha.

For my outfit, I sort of threw this together last minute. I, of course, could not figure out what to wear. I'm so indecisive sometimes haha.  But I think it turned out well, don't you? The white jeans are from Express, t-shirt from H&M, jacket from Nordstrom, purse from Italy (it was a gift), and shoes from Windsor.

I tried something new with my hair. I used the curls from the day before, sprayed in a little dry shampoo, gathered it back into a half-up half-down ponytail, tied one section around the other in a knot, finally securing with a few bobby pins. I think it turned out really pretty and sort of Pintrest inspired :)

Hope you have a lovely day! Hugs <3

Ombré Hair Review

Good morning readers! I actually have off work again today! Ahh the free time is absolutely amazing! Too bad the only days I get off are when the weather is super sold and rainy :(. We are talking like 58 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer...brrrr!! But yesterday, I was successful in convincing my mom and sister to go shopping with me, until they saw how busy the mall was and ran haha. But since I have off today, we will try again :). Here is the outfit I wore yesterday for lunch and dinner. My cardigan/kimono is from Nordstrom, jeans are from Abercrombie and Fitch, tank top is also from Nordstrom. Dinner was really good last night! We went to this restaurant called Market in Lakewood. I got the tacos of the day, which were some sort of seasoned pork (I forget the exact flavor), with cheese, and a spicy sauce. They were super juicy!! People probably thought I was a slob because I constantly had juice running down my hands haha. But the tacos were totally worth it :)

I actually balayage ombred (is that the right term??) my hair a few weeks ago. I don't know if any of you noticed that my hair has been lighter on the bottom. It's really slight because I didn't want to go too drastically blonde. But now I'm not sure if you can really tell it's even there... Anyway, I have been wanting to do this to my hair forever! (Embracing my inner beach girl haha) And now that it's finally done, I really couldn't be happier with the result! Gabby at Esbí International Salon in Brunswick did such an amazing job with it! The color fades from my natural color perfectly so I don't have a straight line across the back of my head where the color goes from one shade to another. I'm really very picky about my ombre's haha. But Gabby was amazing! I definitely recommend you go to her if you are considering coloring your hair in this way and live close to Brunswick. Hugs <3

P. S. How do you like my new header? I made it myself and feel like it makes me an actual blogger haha.

You Interrupted my Childhood Daydream

Good morning every one! Here are some pictures from two days ago when it was nice and sunny :). It's currently raining and I'm pretty chilly, but I'm trying to convince my mom and sister to go shopping with me today. So wish me luck guys! I was supposed to go to the Pride event today with some friends, but it got canceled because of flooding in downtown Cleveland :'( I was so excited to go because everyone would've been going nuts since everyone can now marry the person they love! I'm so executed for the LGBTQ community :)

So I decided to switch up my scenery for my photos. I used my old swing set in my back years. Seriously, this thing is about 15 years old and still standing. But it made for some pretty cool shots and I enjoyed taking these different ones.

Shirt from Pacsun, shorts are Vintage Levis, shoes from Target, nails by me :)

This is my dog Hudson. He's such a cutie and is totally my best buddy :) Hugs <3

What I Ate Today

Hellooooo! Today I thought I would give you a little 'what I ate' type post. This is actually the food I ate yesterday because I would have had to upload this post later last night. And I just thought it would be better if I uploaded it at a more reasonable time :). So without further ado, let's get into it.

So for breakfast I had whole grain, organic toast, topped with organic, all natural peanut butter and blueberries. This was actually this first time I had tried peanut butter and blueberries on toast, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was actually a really yummy combination! And on the side I had a glass of almond milk. I am not lactose or gluten intolerant (the bread was probably a giveaway on that haha), but I just really like the taste of soy milk and almond milk better than regular milk. I think it's much creamier than regular milk, with a lot less fat and more nutrients. But seriously, I drink mostly because it tastes yummy :)

Because I don't live on a tropical island, sometimes I like to pretend I do and arrange my fruit in pretty shapes haha. So this is what I had for lunch. Mango, kiwifruit, and raspberries. I absolutely love fruit and I really wish I could just live off of it haha. But this mango was probably the best mango I've ever had. It was tender, juicy, and not fibery (if that even makes sense...). I also had a little bag of pretzels for a snack a few hours after this. But pretzels just aren't that photogenic, so I didn't photograph them haha.

For dinner I decided to make breakfast food. I love breakfast food! It's my absolute favorite :). I decided to make crêpes with a super yummy caramelized banana with a cream sauce filling, sprinkled with just a little powdered sugar on top. I hunk these are sooo good! I wish I could make them more often :( But they take awhile to make and really aren't that good for you.

So that was what I ate yesterday. I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know what you think, or if you want the recipe for the crêpes, in a comment below :) Hugs <3

The Weekend Through My Phone

Hey readers! I thought I'd give you a look through my mobile pictures from this weekend so you can see more of what I did. So I hope you can enjoy seeing my weekend through pictures as much as I enjoy this weekend each summer :)

My favorite room in the condo is the sunroom. We've eaten dinner in the past at that table and listened to the waves hit the rocks. Perfect :)

The view from the sunroom. It's usually prettier, but it was cloudy so the sky and water look pretty dull.

The best ice-cream in the world!! And I'm not kidding either...Brown's Dairy Dock makes their own ice-cream, and it's by far the creamiest I've ever had! They also make their own fresh strawberry sauce, which is the perfect combination of sweet and tangy :)

All of us super excited for our ice-cream haha. Left to right: me, Sherrie, my mom, and Alyssa (my sister).

Alyssa and I on our way to breakfast at A La Carte with our mom and Sherri. We like to walk there because it's so close and we get to pass the water. Although don't let the smiles fool you, this bridge is covered in these nasty giant bugs called mayflies. They live for 24 hours and then clump together in areas and die. So this bridge was covered in them. Sooo nasty :P

So this is my waffle from A La Carte. They put butter in the batter and melt a whole bunch of it on top and it tastes so amazing!! I forgot to take a picture of it before I dug in, I was so excited haha.

Everyone's breakfast included eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, coffee, toast, and waffles.

...Needless to say, we destroyed it...

Alyssa and I taking a selfie in a gross bathroom at Put-In Bay. Just your typical day on the island haha.

I hope you enjoyed this! Let me know if you want me to do more posts like this, or if you like the outfit posts better! Hugs <3

First Time Açaí Bowl!!!

Helloooo!! After class today, I was super hungry...like bordering on hangry (it's a combination of hungry and angry). I always get so cranky when I'm hungry. It's bad. So I decided to go to Robeks to get a smoothie (for those of you who don't know Robeks, it's basically the greatest thing since sliced bread haha). They make smoothies with fresh fruit and also have a variety of fresh juices as well. I noticed they had açaí bowls which I have been wanting to try forever because everyone says they are sooo yummy. And I must say, it lived up to the expectations (plus I really liked the banana and granola on top nom nom nom happy belly). It was creamier than a smoothie which I love because for some reason creaminess and I just go together like peanut butter and jelly :) haha. So here is my progress through eating my açaí bowl.

Me before I had eaten it. I was super excited to dig in! Haha

Me in the process of eating it. Just check out that mouth guys lol.

All gone :'(

And I just had to show you the back of this awesome tank top my mom got me on her weekend in Chicago :D Just look at how pretty that back is!! Top and pants are from Lululemon (basically my life in a store haha). Hugs <3
