Tumblr Dorm Room

Hello everyone! Here are the pictures I promised a few weeks ago of my dorm room, and how I decided to decorate it. This is my side of the room. I didn't want to include my roommate's side in case she didn't want her stuff photographed. So this year I went with stringing my Christmas tree lights across the wall instead of the ceiling. I do think I like it better this way. It doesn't make the ceiling seem so low, and it makes a nice frame for what I put on the wall.

Sorry this picture is so dark. It's just the way the sun was coming in through the window. But this is probably my favorite wall because it has all my favorite pictures from the past year or so. Sometimes it's just nice to look at reminders of all the people in your life at times that were a blast :).

Sorry for all the sorority stuff on the wall, but as you can tell I'm in Phi Mu haha.

This I actually painted all by myself over the summer haha. I'm super in love with the way it turned out!

My big gave me these lovely canvases last year. How can I not hang them up?! Except the Coco Chanel quote. I did make that one.

This is the wall above my desk. It has my jewelry, a magnet board that I like to hang cards or important things on, more letters my big gave me (shout out out to her haha), and a pretty skyline of New York City that is actually my roommates :).

Cozy Day

Heyyy! Today has been really cloudy so far, and it's supposed to rain later. I really hope I don't have to walk in the rain to class. I hate wet shoes!! Luckily I have this giant olive green umbrella that I can lug around with me in case it starts raining. But it's so big it kind of sucks carrying it around... Anyway, the clouds have put me in a rainy day mood, which means I just want to curl up in bed in a comfy cardigan or long sleeved tee and read a good book :) I wish I had time to read during the school year :( So I guess I'll be curling up with some organic chemistry or microbiology instead... Those don't exactly sound like good cuddle companions haha. Oh well, at least I might be somewhat productive then. Later today I'm going to finish the series Band of Brothers with a friend :). It's an HBO series about the European front of WWII. It's really really good!! Although, if you are a chick-flik (is that how it's spelled?? haha) sort of person I wouldn't recommend it. There is a lot of exploding things and people getting shot, but they really do a great job of portraying what the soldiers went through. So definitely check it out if that's something you're interested in :)

Here is today's snuggly outfit. I got this shirt over the weekend in a medium, which is two sizes bigger than I normally wear. But I really wanted this shirt to be oversized and slouchy. And it really is one of the softest shirts I own. I love it :). The shirt is from Pacsun, the bralette is from FreePeople, and my shorts are from Target (they probably don't go as well with the shirt as denim ones would, but I just wanted the be comfy today haha). Comfy Gray Tee

Hello!! So sorry I didn't post yesterday, but it was Labor Day here in the U. S. So everyone was off work and I got to spend some time with my family :). I just wanted to make it a family day and enjoy the ribs my mom made. And oh my gosh guys they were amazing! I wish I could send you a taste of them through my screen because they are just so good! Sending food through screens should really become the next technology haha. Like I can go on Instagram and just pick out my breakfast, lunch or dinner from all the yummy food pictures out there haha. So there's my food tangent. Today I just woke up a few minutes earlier than I had planned, so I ran down to the football stadium and did a really sweaty stairs workout. I am going to be super duper sore later today or tomorrow. But at least it just felt so good to work hard. I love the accomplished feeling after completing a hard workout.

Here is today's outfit. Just a super soft and comfy gray (or is it grey? I never know guys) t-shirt from Brandy Melville, denim shorts from Urban Outfitters, and my shoes are from Toms.

Little Black Dress

Hello readers! Here is a dress I have been loving lately! It is so easy to throw on and not have to worry about picking out an entire outfit (I seriously don't understand why more people don't wear dresses haha). I love the open back detail. It take it from a simple black dress to something with a little more personality :). I know yesterday I was going on about how pretty the view was from drinking my morning coffee. Now you can see one of the trees in a little more detail because I couldn't not use it as my background haha. I love the ivy that crawls up the side! And look how huge it is! It's about twice as wide as me, if not bigger! Later today I'm going to play golf with my mom. Let's see how bad I am haha. Wish me luck!

Hello! So today was a day well spent at home. I started the morning off the right way with a cup of coffee on the patio outside. The sun was just starting to shine through the trees, and it wasn't too hot yet either. The view is so pretty with all the giant trees everywhere. I love greenery. That is the one thing I would miss the most if I were to ever move from Ohio. The trees up on the northern end of the state by Lake Erie are so tall and and the prettiest bright green in the summer! After coffee, my mom and I went to run errands for various things. For dinner we had some HUGE burgers on the grill and corn on the cob :) Yummm. Now we are sitting on the patio again just enjoying one of the last days of summer weather. It won't be too long before I'll have to start wearing pants all the time again :'(. I will really miss my shorts.

Loose Fitted T-Shirt

Hello everyone! Here is a quick update before I head to class, and then I'm on my way home for the weekend! I cannot wait to go and see my dog! He is so cute and fluffy :) Really my life today is very uninteresting. I went to class, took some photos, then I will go to class after this, and finally a four hour car ride home. It has been so crazy hot and sunny today! I am definitely loving the sun and heat, but I am still trying to stay cool today. So I went with my favorite pair of denim shorts (I don't think you've ever seen me photograph another pair haha) and a loose fitting tee with a bralette underneath. And I'm wearing sandals on my feet. It's super casual for class, and it's keeping me from overheating in the sun (at least sort of...). Anyway, I hope you're having a wonderful day wherever you are!

Heart to Heart

Hello readers! So I know I didn't post my usual outfit post on Wednesday, but I think I will need to move my outfit post to Thursday. My Wednesday's are just a little too crazy to put enough time into writing and photographing a good post. So I have had a lot of outfit inspiration lately, but I don't know much what to write about anymore. Are you getting bored with the same sort of outfit posts? I also feel like I haven't sat down and really told you about my life lately. I usually just focus on writing a quick post about what I'm wearing and running out the door. I really do want to invest more in this little web site of mine and make it something really great. I guess I have big dreams of being a big blogger one day and then conquering the world! (haha just kidding). But nothing is ever accomplished without first being dreamt I guess. I feel like being successful in this world of bloggers is one of those things that would just happen for no reason one day. Just sheer luck! Maybe one of my pictures or posts will go viral, and then people will just keep coming back because they see something special in me. But I also think that these are things that happen to other people, not me. It'd be so weird to be the one that did it, but so insanely amazing too!! I don't know if I have ever wanted something like this before I still have goals to be doctor and be very accomplished in school because that is very important to me. But I also love looking like a weirdo and taking pictures of myself with a camera and tripod, while a bunch of people pass by confused haha. I love being photographed! It's really ironic how much I hate being the center of attention but being photographed is almost entirely different. It's you and the photographer working together to create something beautiful. I love being able to go back and read my posts from days, weeks, or months ago just to see how much I have changed or what I was thinking that day. I love writing to you guys. And I hope you like hearing from me :)
