Skincare Routine

Hello!! It's getting to be the Christmasy time of year again, and I must say, I am super excited for the holidays this year! There just seem to be so many good things going on :). Yesterday, I had Christmas music on while I did my laundry and some easy homework. Michael Bublé's Christmas album is definitely my favorite (in addition to the classics). I love the original versions of the Christmas songs compared to the new ones. I just don't think they have the same sentimental value, you know? I went to dinner with two of my best friends yesterday after we interviewed a girl for an open spot in our apartment for next year. I am so so so excited to not live in a dorm! Being able to cook, living with my best friends, having my own room... Just thinking about it makes me smile :). But I am seriously so lucky to have some of the funniest and weirdest friends there are haha. I've been feeling a little slumpy lately, and a few hours of laughing at nonsense with them just put me in the best mood :). Finals suck guys haha (in case you didn't know haha).

So now to my skincare routine! I recently updated it with the purchase of a few new items. The first one being the Boscia MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil. This makeup remover was recommended on YouTube by Alex Centomo (she's basically my favorite person on YouTube). It's kind of weird because you squirt some in your hand and rub it on your face while it's dry. Then you rinse off the oil with water after you've scrubbed it for a bit. It is amazing at taking off makeup! And it isn't harsh on my skin at all, which is perfect for winter because my skin gets super dry! The second thing is a homemade coffee scrub I bought from one of my sorority sisters. I use this in the morning to wake up my face and gently exfoliate. It feels and smells soo good! After I used it for the first time I could not stop touching my face because it was so smooth haha. After, I just follow up with a moisturizer, and I'm ready for the day :).

Brandy Melville T-Shirt

Heyy! I have to run out the door to go to Spanish in a few minutes, but I thought I would update you before that. Today was nice because I got out of microbiology lab an hour early. We had our exam today, which wasn't too hard, and only took up half of the class time. All of my big projects/exams this week are done now so I can focus on the homework I have put off until now. I hate having thing hanging over my head. So here are some pictures of my outfit today. I got this t-shirt over break, and I really like it! Like pretty much everything from Brandy, it's so so so soft and stretchy. Ugh I just love their clothes. I actually threw a loose, cream cardigan over it because it's pretty cold today, but I wanted the t-shirt to be the main focus of the pictures :).

Yummy Breakfast or Lunch

Hello! Here was one of the pieces of my lunch yesterday. I made toast, smashed up some avocado, cut up some little cherry tomatoes, and seasoned with salt and pepper. It was actually really good! I'd seen other bloggers make this before, but I always thought it would taste plain. I can happily say I was proven wrong, and it was delicious :). It probably would have tasted better if the avocado had been more ripe, but living in Ohio in the middle of winter tends to give you some less than perfect fruits and vegetables. Still, I would definitely recommend this for a quick and easy lunch or breakfast!

Today is going to be focused on writing my lab report for organic chemistry. Honestly, the only thing giving me motivation is that it's the last lab report of the semester haha. The end is so close, but there is so much work that needs to be done before I can relax. So send some motivation my way because I'm going to need it haha. I hope you all are having a good end of the semester too, if you're in school :).

Patterned Wrap

Hello! I know it has been a really long time since I've blogged, but I just needed a week off. I was stuck in an inspiration rut and just couldn't seem to get out of it. After almost a week off, I'm ready to get back in the swing of blogging. I now have some new clothes to photograph, and some new background ideas. Plus the leaves have completely fallen from the trees, and snow will soon start to cover the ground. And I also only have two weeks left of school, which means I'll have six weeks to spend time working on the blog! So get excited because there are new things coming up. My new room should be finished over break, and I cannot wait to show you the results! Also, there are always a lot of fun parties around the holidays :). Oh my gosh, I am soo ready for a break from school! So many fun things happen during break haha. The work load has been a bit much lately too. Finals will definitely be a rough week, so in advance I'm sorry if there won't be a lot of time to put effort into the blog. But exciting things are coming up after finals :).

Also, it's so weird to think I've been blogging for almost a whole year... How time flies!! Would you be interested in seeing my year in pictures? I know other bloggers do that and I really like those posts. So let me know :).

Can you spot the doggie in the corner? Haha the struggles of taking pictures in a house with four dogs.

Tunic Dress

Hey there! I know I didn't post at all this weekend :(. Saturday I was busy with friends all day, and I had such a fun time! We went Uptown (it's what we call the town center in Oxford) during the day. Then I went on a double date with my boyfriend, Ryan, one of Ryan's best friends, and his girlfriend. We went to this really good Italian restaurant called Paesano's. Mmm I have missed some good pasta! Then we went to the Miami hockey game and ice skating after. I managed to do a graceful face plant and end up with some lovely bruises on my knees haha. Nice one Jess. And Sunday was a day for catching up on homework. So that part of the day was really boring for a few hours. Then we had a really funny sisterhood event with my sorority. We had mini competitions between 5 teams. And just to give you a taste of some of the events, there was a burping contest, who had the longest thumb, a dancing contest, and the tie breaker was a sing-a-long haha. The sing-a-long was probably the funniest one. We did Love is an Open Door from Frozen, and the other team did My Heart Will Go On from the Titanic. I made a total fool out of myself, but we all laughed and had so much fun haha. It was actually a pretty good weekend off from the blog :). Tomorrow I get to go home for Thanksgiving break! Ahhh!!! I'm soo excited! I get to see my dogs, my family, eat good food, and go shopping. And also, I don't have to go to any classes! Wooo so much exciting things!

Comfy, Casual, and Cute Outfit

Hello everyone! Today has been super nice and sunny :). And I got to take advantage of the weather for some quick pictures! Also, I didn't even have to use my tripod because I manage to convince my boyfriend to take the pictures for me since we were both super bored haha. I am so ready for a break from school and homework. It just really drains me and does not contribute to my creativity. Although today I've been browsing some of the stores online in preparation for my Christmas/birthday list (yes I'm born on Christmas), and I really cannot wait to update my wardrobe! All of my fall and winter cloths are from last year :/. I know that sounds really materialistic, but I love shopping. And it has been way too long haha.

Here is today's outfit. It's comfy, casual, and cute so perfect for class or walking around Uptown Oxford. I love it when clothes are cute and comfy. It really makes getting ready in morning soo much better, especially on those days when you would rather stay in your PJs haha.

Blanket Scarf

Hey! Today was a pretty good day off from classes. I finished my sociology homework, got a good workout in, and took these pictures. After this I'll start on my research paper for microbiology. I was hoping to be able to start it earlier, but my sociology work took me four hours to complete :/. But it's still early enough so I think I should be able to get it done. It was a really beautiful day outside, and I was kind of upset I missed it because of homework. The sun was shining, and it wasn't too cold out. That's one of the things that sucks about having a harder major that requires more time commitment to studies. Sometimes you have to miss out on some things like enjoying a beautiful day or hanging out with friends. But one of my family friends who is a doctor said that being a pre-med science major is a lot of work in your twenties, but it pays off after. I'm still waiting for that pay off haha but I'm sure it'll worth it then :).

I cannot wait to go shopping when I'm home for break! I'm running out of outfits to show you :'(. Blogger problems haha.
