White T-Shirt and Jeans

Hello!! The past few hours have been a bit rushed, so I am just going to get a quick outfit post out. Whenever I am at a loss of what to wear (which I just did haha), I find myself drawn to super basic combos like jeans and a white t-shirt. This combo is a staple in my wardrobe. I love the simplicity of the white t-shirt (or any white top for that matter because I own way too many haha) and the classic denim jeans. However, this combination can be boring if you go too basic. In order to spice up such a basic outfit, I go for the details. Instead of being bland on the top and bottom, I will go for rips on the jeans in order to add a little something on the bottom. Or if you're feeling adventurous, go for a boyfriend jeans to add interest! Then to balance out the bottom, I will keep it very basic on top. And then come the accessories :). I chose to layer two simple gold chain necklaces for a pretty feminine touch, added a nude purse with a gold chain strap, and a pair of nude heels. This outfit is super simple, super classic, and very appropriate for many casual events. I hope you enjoy! Hugs <3

It was a bit windy haha.

Old-Fashioned Ratatouille

Hello readers!! Here is the post I promised about the ratatouille I made over the weekend. I got the recipe from a website that I will link down below. It was a more time consuming recipe because all the vegetables need to be individually chopped into bite size pieces and browned in batches before letting them sit on the stove for awhile. However, I do think taking the extra time to let it sit and cook down was a fantastic decision. I taste tested the ratatouille before it had cooked down, and it was a pretty average mixture of vegetables in a pot. However, after letting it simmer for an hour, it became a delicious almost vegetable stew type thing. All the flavors blended together very nicely, and the vegetables became so soft they almost melt in your mouth. Overall, it is a very simple recipe that requires the vegetables (onion, tomato, garlic, eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, bell peppers), olive oil, salt, and pepper. The only downside would be not having enough time to make it, so I would definitely keep this for a weekend or a day off. Here is the link to this delicious recipe: http://www.thekitchn.com/one-pot-recipe-easy-french-ratatouille-recipes-from-the-kitchn-106669

It is a very hearty dish, so don't be fooled by the vegetable only mixture. It is super filling! Hugs <3

Pride Festival

Hello and good morning! Here are some of the pictures from Saturday when I went to the Pride Festival in Cleveland. I am not gay/lesbian myself, but one of my friends is so I decided to go and support her with one of our other friends. And I must say, it was an interesting day! We arrived in time to catch the end of the parade. Some of the people marching were handing out Skittles and saying 'taste the rainbow' haha. I thought it was hilarious! There was this one motorcycle in the parade that kept revving its engine super loud, and it was so obnoxious! I'm not a big fan of really loud noises, especially when they are so close. But the people watching was great! Some people went all out in rainbow colored knee highs, suspenders, tie-dyed t-shirts, bow ties, the list goes on and on! I purchased a rainbow flag because I think they are so fun! (And I had to show my support somehow when I didn't have any rainbow on haha) Some of the older gay couples were there as well! I thought this was the coolest thing because they paved the way for everything that has happened recently. They are real heroes. And guys, there were soo many big fluffy dogs! They were the cutest things! I just wanted to run up and pet them all, but that's not really socially acceptable for a 19-year-old so I restrained myself :/. There were a bunch of tents selling t-shirts and a bunch of other LGBTQ support items, as well as food tents. Overall, it was a really cool event in beautiful weather, and I really enjoyed myself :). And now here are the snapshots!

Me and my pride flag haha. I was playing with that thing all day long.

On the left you have Kenzie, me, and Cathy.

Wooo!! Go Pride!! Hugs <3

Sunday Fun-day??

Good morning everyone! Here is my Sunday outfit post for you. I wish I could tell you that I'm doing something really fun or relaxing on my Sunday, but I'm working at the pool all day. However, I just got done with a super sweaty, tiring workout. Gross I know, but so satisfying. I just love the post workout accomplishment feeling. But as for this post, I'll just stick to the outfit post for you ;). I'm actually really excited to post this because I love this shirt! It reminds of those ones I used to love to wear when I was a 5-year-old haha. They are super stretchy and comfortable, and look adorable paired with my high waisted vintage Levi's. This shirt is from Brandy Melville (a brand that I absolutely love). I think their clothes are so different/trendy, and they are actually really affordable compared to some other brands. It is hard sometimes finding a shirt that looks just right on you because it is one size fits all, but I have managed to find some that really do look good, even on this short girl haha. And finally, my shoes are just a pair of converse that are super old.

Hope you are having a great Sunday! Hugs <3

Origins Clay Mask

Good mooring everyone! It is a beautiful Saturday morning here in Strongsville, and I am so excited for the day ahead of me! To kick off the weekend, I thought I would share this face mask I have been loving the past few weeks. It is the Origins Original Skin Retexturizing mask with Rose Clay. I don't think I have ever tried a face mask that has improved my skin this much. It really leaves your skin glowing after about two uses. The recommended amount of uses is 1-2 times per week, and I have been sticking to that recommended usage. To use, you apply a thin layer all over your face (avoiding the eye and mouth areas) and let it sit for 10 minutes. The mask will get really tight as it dries. I can't even move my face the last minute or two haha. Then rinse off in the sink using room temperature water. The mask also has these little beads that act as a gentle exfoliant as you wash it off. So not only does this mask work really well, it smells really fresh. It's a combination of citrus and floral. And I just think it's super pretty!

This is not a sponsored post. I actually just really love this product. Hugs <3

Lazy Day

Hello! So I had a pretty relaxing morning. I decided to skip the usual hard sweaty workout and instead replace it with a 40 minute walk with my dog. It was really enjoyable because the weather is much cooler than it has been the past few weeks. So I wasn't sweating by just walking out the door (yucky!). After that, I ran some errands around town to get food for dinner and some back to school things. Nothing really exciting at all haha. For dinner tonight I decided to make ratatouille. I saw some recipes pop up on my pinterest feed, and I just decided I needed to try it haha. And it is actually really yummy! It's almost like a vegetable stew if you make it the old fashioned French way. I took some pictures of the ratatouille, and I'll give you a more detailed post tomorrow :). The rest of the day I will be at work, and then to a bonfire after with some old friends!! I haven't seen them in almost 6 months or more! I'm super excited :).

Here are some pictures of me in my comfy clothes from today (although if I'm being honest I'm in running shorts and a pull over or t-shirt at some point every day haha).

Messy hair, so don't care haha.

This is my dog. I love him even though he hates being hugged and only looks good in a picture when you catch him off guard haha. So needless to say, he was unhappy about being forced to take a picture with me.

IvyRevel Romper

Hellooo readers! Today I want to share with you this beautiful piece I purchased a few weeks ago from IvyRevel. This is a brand I found through Instagram. The clothes are designed by Kenza Zouiten, and they are just so fresh and clean! The lines are sleek and flattering, the colors and patterns are trendy, and the quality is actually really good! Overall, I love this brand. I wish I was able to order more from their website, but the company is Swedish based and shipping to the United States is super expensive :(. This is the called the Walt romper. I saw Kenza wearing it on her blog a few weeks ago, and immediately decided that I needed to have it. Kenza and I have very similar coloring, so I decided I should try the bright pink instead of the white, which is the color I own everything in...Seriously, white tops are my go-to for everything in the summer. But I decided to take a chance since it looked so good on Kenza. I must say, I was not disappointed! The hot pink looks amazing with a tan, and the romper photographs soo well! I paired it with a simple pair of nude heels for a dressier look. I would definitely wear this out to a nice dinner with friends or family.
