Spring, Summer, Travel

Hey readers! It's finally spring! I not longer need a jacket to walk two steps outside my dorm so I don't freeze my butt off. So that's been amazing. It has been raining like crazy though. I seriously feel like I'm living in England right now haha. The grass is crazy green from all the rain and, it's just so beautiful to see something other than white. I always feel like spring is such a time of renewal and change in nature and myself. It's such an out with the old, in with the new time. I've been eating healthier, drinking more water (which let me tell you it actually helps a lot), working out, and thinking about what I want in my future. I have also been thinking about traveling a lot lately. There are so many places and cultures I want to visit and experience. I want to visit the beautiful beaches of Greece, the mountains of Norway, the heat of Spain, the chilled vibes in Australia. There are just so many great places in the world! And I've also been thinking of where I want to live when I'm done with school. There are just so many possibilities and great places to live. But I know I want to live somewhere warm because I'm a summer girl through and through. California anyone?!?! I have a few years to figure it all out, but it's nice to think about for now :)

So let me know where you want to travel!

How excited I am for summer (and my tan) haha

To Die For Swimwear

Hello loves! I have some exciting news to share with you today! I have teamed up with To Die For Swimwear to give you a code for free shipping (yes this includes international shipping as well)! I was so excited when they contacted me because I have been loving these bikinis since last summer when I first saw them. My favorite is 'Hips Don't Lie' in hot pink. But this year they also have a new neoprene collection that is super pretty as well! And as if the great bikinis weren't reason enough to get one, To Die For Swimwear also donates a percentage of their proceeds to organizations that help girls with eating disorders. Which is totally amazing because so many girls (and guys) are affected by eating disorders. So make sure to check out their super nice collections at http://www.todiefor.com and use the code JESSSI at checkout to get your free shipping!

Here is my personal favorite! 'Hips Don't Lie" in hot pink from their signature lace collection :)

Here is one of the bikinis from their new neoprene collection. I think the mint color is so pretty, especially with a tan! Hugs!

Green Jacket

Hello lovlies! I'm just sitting here munching on some blackberries and blogging. Mmmm they are so yummy! I am one of those people who loves fruit. It just has the perfect combination of sour and sweet, don't you think? But anyway, one of the things I am obsessed with this spring is jackets! For one, they are so easy to throw on and change a completely basic T-shirt and jeans into a cute outfit. And they are perfect for spring weather when it's a little chilly out (because thank god I don't need to wear my huge white parka anymore since the temperatures are no longer in the teens WOOO! Happy Jess!). This olive green jacket is from Express, and I definitely love it. It's casual, basic, but super cute because it has a little edge since it is an olive green with a bit of a cargo feel with the pockets. Maybe that last sentence makes no sense...haha, but the jacket is a great balance between basic and fun. I also decided to try and get a little more creative with my poses in these photos for you guys. So let me know what you think! Oh! And sorry if my hair is all over the place. It was super windy when I took these.

Yeah my face looks kind of weird in this photo but I like the overall angle of my body. Improvements to come! Haha.

I also have some discount codes coming for you in future! This is so exciting! So stay tuned for more, and I hope you have a wonderful spring day! Hugs <3

Love the Flow

Good Saturday morning everyone! Gosh I just love the weekends. There is so much time to do things; catch up on homework, hang out with friends, eat good food with my family...The list could go on and on. I'm in a very thankful mood today haha. Which is always a good thing. Sometimes it's good to step back and look at all the good things we have instead of focusing so much on the things we don't have. Oh! And the sun is shining today! I'm always grateful for that! You have no idea how much sun improves my mood (even when there's still snow on the ground). Yupp you heard me right, there is still snow here :/. But I'm trying to ignore it and pretend I'm on a beach by looking up at the perfectly blue sky :). Fake it 'til you make it, right? Haha.

Here's an outfit I am sort of obsessed with (and by sort of I mean I'm totally obsessed haha). I am absolutely in love with the maroon bralette from Free People!! Seriously I've worn it almost every day since I got it about two weeks ago. It's so much comfier than a normal bra haha. And this shirt from Urban Outfitters is also new. I think it's such a cute mix of shirt and dress. It's super flowey and pretty when you walk! Then, there are my favorite black skinny jeans that I have been obsessed with since I got them over Christmas break. Do you remember all that gushing I did? Haha you were probably all sick of how much I loved them. And of course basic black botties. How could one ever survive without them?

Check out my Instagram later for a fun edit! Hugs! <3

Relaxing with the Future

Hello! So here are some pictures from my much needed relaxing bath the other night. Just the hot water, a super yummy smelling bath bomb from lush, a candle, and Gossip Girl makes for a very happy Jess :). I love any form of de-stressing, whether it's yoga, a hot bath, a face mask, or just watching something on Netflix. Because let's face it, I'm always stressed. When people say pre-med is hard they mean it. Although it's not exactly hard in the academic sense. It's hard in the sense that you need to be super dedicated to giving so much of your time to studying and homework in order to do well. This semester I have definitely been giving a lot of my time to my studies, so I hope it pays off. Medical school is my dream and I just can't see myself doing anything else for the rest of my life.

So that was a fun little paragraph about my hopes in dreams. Not exactly where I intended that to go, but I think I'll leave it and maybe you will get to know me a bit better. I know I love it when my favorite bloggers share something a little more personal, so maybe you will like it too. And on that note, enjoy! Hugs <3 (as always haha)

Cleanse and Kayla Itsines BBG

Hello! So lately I've been on a health kick. College food was kind of kicking my butt. I mean I only gained about 3 pounds, but I just felt so unhealthy all the time. So I decided to switch around my habits and get back to how I used to eat. So I've been substituting fruit and vegetables in place of other foods that aren't as good for me in my diet. I have also been trying to drink more water, but sometimes I get so bored of the taste...or lack thereof haha. So I've found a great way to help add a little flavor to water is cleanse water! I've been putting half a lemon, some strawberries, and raspberries into a water bottle filled with water and letting it sit over night. All the flavors from the fruit end up in the water and it ends up tasting so yummy (and it looks pretty too haha)!!

Another part of my health kick has been a new workout regime. I purchased the Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide and let me tell you, I haven't been this sore since I played lacrosse. I have noticed a difference in my legs. I'm hoping the abs will come soon, but I'm only on week four so we'll see haha.  But something I've been doing to help with the soreness and staying limber is yoga! I absolutely love it! I feel so relaxed and refreshed and properly stretched afterwards. Plus I get to improve my flexibility which I've been wanting to do also.  And I just do some YouTube yoga videos and they work just as well as a yoga class and I get it all in the comfort and ease of my dorm :). So all round great benefits haha.

I'm so good at warrior one right guys? Haha. What do you do to stay healthy? Especially at college! Let me know in a comment! Hugs <3

Hellloooo!!

Today has been such a good day, especially in comparison to earlier this week. I was so incredibly busy with school work, working out, and hanging out with friends. I mean, most of my time was definitely taken up with school work (thank you chemistry exam). But everything is done now and I get to relax. I just have one more class today and then I get to go home for spring break!! I really wish I was going somewhere warm with a beach, but you can't have everything haha. So I'll get to see my super fluffy and adorable dog, eat amazing home cooked meals (love you mom! I don't even know if she reads this haha), and see my family and friends from home :). This break is so needed I've been working my butt off in school and I really hope it pays off. Fingers crossed everyone!! But now I'm ready for some downtime (minus the fact that my professors still gave me homework like thanks guys).

Let me know what your plans are for spring break!

An outfit from earlier this week. I find the leather jacket to be perfect for the spring! Hugs <3
